Blessed to Be a Blessing
Dear St. Timothy’s Community,
The 2012 Episcopal Stewardship Campaign begins on Sunday, October 7, 2012. As we prepare to embark on this Campaign, which runs through November 11, 2012, I invite you to join me in prayerful consideration of what this season means to each one of us.
When I think about the theme of this year’s Episcopal Stewardship Campaign, “Blessed To Be a Blessing,” I have to believe that it was chosen with St. Timothy’s in mind. We are truly a blessed congregation in so many ways; and we have such a tradition, not to mention ongoing potential, to bless others in the community.
How much should I pledge? It’s a question I am often asked. Here at St. Timothy’s, we have enthusiastically jumped into the Stewardship waters with both feet: 94% of our congregation pledged or gave regularly in 2012, which is the highest such percentage of congregational giving in the Indianapolis Diocese! We are truly blessed.
Instead of focusing on a specific pledge amount or percentage, I encourage you to continue to pledge or give in a prayerful, meaningful, and timely way.
Your 2013 pledge commitment can be submitted in one of three ways: by mail, in person, or online. A pledge commitment form is included with this letter, along with an addressed, stamped envelope for a mailed response. If you prefer to respond in person, your pledge form can be placed in the offering plate during the Sunday service. Details about online pledging will appear in the Sunday service bulletin on September 30, 2012.
We have so much to be grateful for as a faith community, and we are truly blessed!
Yours in Christ,
Rebecca Ferrell Nickel
