Kirsteen's Last Sunday
By Benjamin B. Sworh
The Vicar of St. Timothy Episcopal Church, Rev.
Kirsteen Wilkinson January 30, bid farewell to members of the church
with a baptism service during the morning worship service. The outgoing
Episcopal Cleric challenged the newly baptized members to rededicate
their lives to God in their undertaking. Six persons were baptized.
Kirsteen who served as Vicar for almost three
years at St. Timothy's was recently called to serve as the priest at St.
Mark's in Plainfield.
She expressed thanks and appreciation to the
congregation for the opportunity afforded her to serve as vicar and
assured her continued support to the church and the work of God. "It's
hard to leave people whom you got used to over the two years, I will
always remember the kind of support I received from you. I will always
be available whenever he need me," she told the congregation in tears.
For his part, the Senior Warden, Ed Champa
praised Kirsteen for the services rendered the congregation and wish her
good luck and prosperity at her new assignment.
Several gifts were presented to Kirsteen
including a portray designed by Steve Polson. The church was
graced by visitors and other well wishers.
